This is one of my absolute favourite maternity shoots ever!! When Emma got in contact with me about her maternity shoot I knew almost right away that it was going to be absolutely beautiful!!
When you book with me I like to get you to fill out a questionnaire and answer a few questions about what your interests are, and what are some of the little rituals you have to connect with your baby, so that I can get a feel for the kind of atmosphere I need to create and to also tailor your session to you. So when Emma told me that Jeremy and herself like having tea on their terrace (I am a tea addict, so this had me all excited from the get-go) that they love staying in and being cozy at home, that Jeremy is a chef, and she is a Jazz musician and singer, my heart skipped a beat.
Emma is such a talented musician and an absolutely beautiful woman inside and out. I was lucky enough to hear her play and sing. You don’t hear much of the accordion these days, but she plays it like a dream, you can feel her passion for it. Emma has French heritage and comes from a family of musicians, which is where her amazing talent stems from. You will also notice a few little french touches in their beautifully decorated nursery.
This session also features one of my all time favourite portraits I have taken (it features a beautiful pregnant belly and and a shiny red accordion). But it is also overall one of my all time favourite sessions, everything about it was so calm, relaxed, fun and tender and so full of beautiful connection, feeling and love.
I can’t thank Emma and Jeremy enough for allowing me to capture one of the most exciting and intimate times in their lives, they are two of the warmest, humble, talented and joyful people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I am so grateful for the amazing people my job allows me to meet.
